Gujarat Assembly Election 2022: Campaign Reaches Crescendo, Fate of Rivaba, Gopal Italia To Be Decided In First Phase

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Assembly Election 2022: The campaigning for the Gujarat Assembly elections 2022 has reached its peak. Political parties are going all out to woo the voters. Voting is to be held here in two phases on 1 and 5 December. On 89 out of 182 assembly seats, the election campaign will end at 5 pm on Tuesday for first phase

Voting on these 89 seats is to be held in the first phase on December 1. Voting for the remaining 93 seats will be held on December 5. BJP President JP Nadda and Union Minister Smriti Irani will campaign for party candidates in Bhavnagar and Gandhidham in Kutch district on Tuesday.

Fate of 788 candidates at stake

788 candidates are in the fray in the first phase of Gujarat elections. Former Gujarat minister Purushottam Solanki, 6-time MLA Kunvarji Bavaliya, Morbi hero Kantilal Amritiya and Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife Rivaba and Aam Aadmi Party's Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia are among the prominent candidates to contest in the first phase. 

In such a situation, today every party is seen putting full force in the election campaign. Amit Shah will hold four whirlwind rallies on Tuesday. 

On the other hand, JP Nadda will hold a public meeting in Deogarh Baria, road show in Bhavnagar and public meeting in Ravpura. In fact, this time the BJP is facing a tough challenge in the Gujarat elections. Because Aam Aadmi Party has also jumped into the fray.

Rallies of Shah, Nadda and Yogi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Nadda and other BJP leaders have already held rallies in support of party candidates trying their luck in the first phase. AAP's national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also campaigned extensively for his party's candidates. He has made many promises to the people of Gujarat in these elections.

Kharge, Gehlot campaigned

BJP is ruling the state for the last 27 years. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have also campaigned for their party candidates. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will campaign on Tuesday for BJP candidates trying their luck in the second phase on December 5.

Bhagwant Mann will campaign

On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal addressed many rallies and public meetings in Gujarat. Kejriwal has given in writing that this time his government is being formed in Gujarat. AAP has worked hard for Gujarat elections. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be seen campaigning for the AAP candidates on the last day of campaigning for the first phase as well. Bhagwant Maan will do 6 road shows.
