Gujarat Election 2022: VIP Seats Which Will Decide Political Future of CM Bhupendra Patel, Isudani Gadhvi and Hardik Patel

Gujarat Election 2022: There is voting for the first phase on December 1 and the second phase on December 5. Let's understand the VIP seats of Gujarat Assembly, the political equations of the state are also decided by these seats.


The Maninagar seat of Gujarat has been occupied by BJP continuously since 1990. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also contested on this seat and became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Prime Minister Modi won this seat in 2002, 2007, and 2014. Presently Suresh Patel is the BJP MLA on this seat.


It has been in controversies since the time of Godhra incident. There are 2 lakh 79 thousand voters in this seat, out of which 72 thousand voters are Muslims. That's why AIMIM got 7 seats in the civic elections here. However, this seat has a BJP MLA. After the Godhra incident, everyone's eyes are on the results of Godhra.


Aam Aadmi Party's CM candidate is contesting on Khambhalia seat. Isudani Gadhvi is in the fray with the hope of creating history from this seat. Ahir votes are highest in this seat. In the history so far only once a non-Ahir candidate has won. This time, Aam Aadmi Party's CM face Isudani Gadhvi will be pitted against Congress's Vikram Madan and BJP's Mulu Bera.


The Surat seat is witnessing a triangular contest between the Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP and the Congress. Although Surat is considered a stronghold of BJP, but this time AAP is also giving competition to BJP in Surat. In the municipal elections, 27 candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party became Nagar Sevaks. This is the reason why the candidate of Aam Aadmi Party cannot be considered weak on this seat.


Ghatlodia seat is the seat of Ahmedabad district. Two Chief Ministers of Gujarat have won from this seat, hence this seat holds its own importance. Anandi Ben Patel and Bhupendra Patel have won from this seat. This time Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is in the fray from this seat. The seat has a majority of Patidar votes.


Morbi has been a stronghold of the BJP for a long time. Recently, Morbi came into limelight after the cable bridge over the river collapsed. BJP has been winning Morbi since 1995 till now. Patidar votes are more in this seat too. In the 2017 elections, due to the Patidar agitation, the Congress won a significant amount of votes but lost to BJP's Kantilal Amritiya by 3,419 votes.


This time BJP's victory in Dwarka seat is looking easy. BJP candidate Pabubha Manke has never been defeated on this seat. Pabubha has won this seat 7 times.

North Jamnagar

This seat is in headlines in the Gujarat elections. Due to the celebrity face on this seat, the seat remains in discussion. Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, is contesting elections on this issue. Rivaba is contesting on a BJP ticket, her sister-in-law Naina Jadeja is campaigning against her own sister-in-law. Rivaba is facing a direct fight with Congress's Bipendra Singh.


Danilimda seat is reserved for Scheduled Castes. The Congress had won this seat in 2012 and 2017. Congress, BJP, AAP and AIMIM candidates are in the fray for this seat in this elections, so the contest is very interesting.


Viramgam seat comes in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. On this seat, Hardik Patel, a prominent leader of the Patidar movement, is in the fray from the BJP. In 2017, the Congress had won this seat. This time Congress has given ticket to its old face Lakha Bharwad, while Kunvarji Thakor is in the fray from AAP's side. BJP and Congress are in direct contest on this seat. All eyes are on the results of this seat because Hardik Patel is in the fray from the seat.
