T-20 World Cup 2022: Pakistan In Final, Beat New Zealand By 7 Wickets


SYDNEY: Pakistan has stormed into final of T-20 World Cup 2022 after beating New Zealand by 7 wickets

Shan Masood hit the winning runs as Pakistan reached an ICC final for the first time in 13 years. They have beaten the Kiwis by 7 wickets to set a final between the winner of India vs England 2nd semi-final at Adelaide tomorrow    

Earlier, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat and set Pakistan a target of 153 runs. 

After the initial blows, Williamson played an innings of 46 runs. He had a 68 runs partnership with Daryl Mitchell. After that Mitchell scored 53 runs and took the team to a respectable total.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets for Pakistan. He conceded just 24 runs in 4 overs. Nawaz got a breakthrough. Shaheen Afridi took 2 wickets. He took the wickets of opener Finn Allen and captain Kane Williamson on crucial occasions. Most importantly, he gave only 24 runs in 4 overs i.e. economy of 6.
