New Delhi: 15 foreigners who came to India have been found corona infected amid BF.7 scare. Corona report of total 11 passengers, including 9 from Thailand, one each from Myanmar and England, has come positive at Bihar's Gaya airport. At the same time, the report of 4 foreigners from Myanmar at Delhi airport has come positive. All samples have been sent for genome sequencing.
2 Covid positive cases have also been reported at Kolkata airport. Both of them are Indians. One of them had arrived from Dubai on December 24, while the other had arrived from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Foreigners had come to attend Dalai Lama's program in Bodh Gaya
11 foreign nationals who came to attend the religious program of Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama in Bodh Gaya have been found to be Covid positive. Civil surgeon Dr. Ranjan Kumar Singh said that the foreigners are currently isolated in a hotel in Bodh Gaya.
Of these, one is from England and the rest 10 are from Myanmar and Thailand. All of them had come to Bodhgaya by international flight. By Sunday evening, the report of 4 people came positive.
Out of these, 2 people have been isolated in the hotel. The third has returned to Delhi and the fourth is missing. This number increased to 11 on Monday evening.

All of them have also worshiped in the temple. Gaya DM Dr. Thiagarajan has directed that a corona test will have to be done before meeting Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama.
