Drugs And Weapons Worth Rs 300 Crore Recovered From Pakistani Ship, Major Action By Coastguard And Gujarat ATS

Ahmedabad: Pakistanis tried to enter with drugs and weapons from India's maritime border, but were caught by Coastguard and Gujarat ATS. They were entering the country's border from Okha in Gujarat. Coastguard and ATS apprehended the accused with drugs and weapons worth Rs 300 crore.

This is the first time that arms have been seized at the maritime border. 6 pistols and 120 rounds have been recovered from the accused. Pakistan's fishing boat was infiltrating the Indian border with ten crew-members. According to the Coastguard, weapons and 40 kg of drugs were found from them. The market price of these drugs is Rs 300 crore.

Ten Pakistani nationals held

Ten Pakistani nationals were apprehended with their fishing boat in the action and the suspects and the boat were brought to Jakhau port in Devbhumi Dwarka district, officials said.

After getting intelligence input from the ATS, the Coast Guard deployed its patrolling ship Arinjay close to the notional International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) at the Arabian Sea and apprehended the boat and its crew early on Monday after firing warning shots at it.
