India-Bangladesh Test Match: Shreyas Iyer, Chetan Pujara Steady India's Innings


After losing the ODI series, Team India has scored 278 runs losing 6 wickets on the very first day of the first Test against Bangladesh. India came back strongly in the afternoon game after losing 3 wickets in the morning. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 90 and Shreyas Iyer was not out at 82. 
However, by the end of the evening, the Bangladeshi bowlers claimed wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara and Akshar Patel to make a comeback to some extent.
On Wednesday, Team India won the toss and decided to bat. Shreyas Iyer returned unbeaten on a personal score of 82 runs at stumps. Whereas, Akshar Patel got out after scoring 14 runs on the last ball of the day. He was lbw by Mehdi Hasan Miraj.
Before Akshar, Test specialist batsman Cheteshwar Pujara (90) was bowled by Taijul Islam. Pujara could not score a century in 51 innings. Earlier, Rishabh Pant (46 runs), Shubman Gill (20 runs), captain KL Rahul (22 runs) and Virat Kohli (1 run) lost their wickets. Taijul Islam took 3 wickets from Bangladesh. Mehdi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets.
