Punjab Police Station Attacked With Rocket Launcher

Tarn Taran: A rocket launcher attack has taken place at a Police Station in Tarn Taran, Punjab. After the attack, there was chaos at the police station. However, there was no casualty in this attack. There was no loss of life and the building remained largely unaffected as the rocket rebounded after hitting the outer pillar of the police station.

The attack took place at around one o'clock in the night. This rocket launcher attack has been done by targeting the police station. The investigating agencies have started probing the entire matter.

According to the sources, the rocket was powerful but could not damage the station as it rebounded. DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav and forensic teams are present at the police station.

The attack is suspected to be carried out by Khalistan-backed terrorists under the patronage of the Pakistani intelligence unit, ISI. The strike was presumably a response by the ISI to the death of Harvinder Singh Rinda to preserve its terror in the region.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
