Tanmay Sahu Rescue Operation: Tanmay Stuck In Borewell Could Not Be Saved, Child's Body Found After 84 Hours


Betul: Tanmay Sahu Rescue Operation: The rescue of eight-year-old Tanmay Sahu, trapped in a borewell in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, has finally been completed. But even after all the efforts, Tanmay could not be saved. 

Home Guard Commandant SR Ajmi, who was involved in the rescue operation, said that the child was rescued at around 5 am, but by then his breath had stopped. The medical team present on the spot declared Tanmay dead after examination. He was brought by ambulance to Betul District Hospital for postmortem. 

Collector and SP were also present during the whole night rescue operation. The tunneling work was going on for 2 days. Meanwhile, as soon as Tanmay's dead body was taken out, the family members were inconsolable. There is mourning in the village too.

Tanmay fell at five o'clock on Tuesday evening

When Tanmay was taken out of the borewell, he was in a state of decompose. The information received in the PM report was that he had chest congestion and rib injury.

Mandvi's Tanmay fell into a 400 feet deep bore-well while playing hide and seek with friends. This incident happened on Tuesday at 5 pm. 

As soon as the information was received, the administration team got involved in evacuating him from the bore-well. More than 250 people including NDRF, SDERF, Police, Administration, Health Department, PHE Department were engaged in rescue in Mandvi village. 

But even after all the efforts, he could not be saved. Home Guard Commandant SR Azmi, who is supervising the rescue operation, said that considering the normal height of the child in the bore-well as three to four feet, his team dug a pit up to 44 feet. 61 personnel of NDRF and SDRF were engaged in building the tunnel.
