Russia-Ukraine War: Massive Missile Attack Hits Many Ukraine Cities


Kyiv: Russia has fired 120 missiles from air and sea areas on Ukraine on Thursday. The explosions of these missiles have been heard in 7 cities including the capital Kyiv. 

Since then, an air raid alert has been issued across Ukraine. Prior to this, on November 15, Russia had fired 100 missiles on Ukraine. Of these, 2 missiles had fallen in Poland.

3 injured, attack on residential areas

At least three people - including a 14-year-old girl - were taken to hospital after explosions hit the capital Kyiv, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.

According to Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to Ukraine's President Zelensky, the attack was carried out on residential areas. 

People told to stay in bunkers

He said- Many buildings have been destroyed here. Apart from Kyiv, explosions were also heard in Lviv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava and Zhytomyr. Kyiv Mayor urged people to stay in bunkers until Russia stops airstrikes.

Blackout in Lviv

Mayor of Lviv city Andrey Sadovy said – 90% of the area does not have electricity. The water supply system has also stopped. While the missiles damaged buildings, hundreds of people were left without electricity in the bitter winter.

Ukraine's army is also fighting back

Russia is constantly trying to bring Ukraine to its knees by attacking it with missiles. But, Ukraine is also retaliating strongly to these airstrikes. Ukraine's army general Oleksii Reznikov warned that Russia could increase the pace of attacks early next year. Along with this, he had also told that Russia is preparing to deploy 2 lakh new soldiers.
