After Pathaan, Controversy Over Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh; Congress Says It Will Not Allow Its Release Today


Bhopal: After Shahrukh-Deepika Padukone starrer movie 'Pathaan', a controversy has arisen regarding the film 'Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh'. This film will be released on Thursday. In Madhya Pradesh, the Congress has come out in open opposition regarding this. Congress leaders have said they will not allow the film to be released in the capital under any circumstances. This film will be released in many cities of the state including Indore.

Many critics have claimed that 'Pathaan' has collected more than 100 crores worldwide in the opening day itself. Today another film will be released on the big screen to compete with Pathaan. 

This film has been directed by veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi. The name of the film is 'Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh'. Like 'Pathan', this film has also been embroiled in controversies since the trailer came out. The film has been opposed at many places.

Rajkumar Santoshi was receiving threats

Rajkumar Santoshi, the director of Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh, was receiving threats for this. In its promotion event, many people showed him black flags. The people protesting said that the film tarnishes the image of Mahatma Gandhi, while glorifying Nathuram Godse, who assassinated him. Although Rajkumar Santoshi says that this film shows the war of two ideologies.

Bhopal District President of Congress SC Department Kunaj Gajbhiye told that a protest will be held in Bhopal at 12.30 pm on Thursday. The history of Mahatma Gandhi has been distorted in the film. Which Congress will not tolerate.

Gajbhiye said objectionable scenes and dialogues about Muslim society and Gandhiji have been shown in this film. This film will work to divide the country. We will not allow this film to be screened in any talkies in Bhopal. 

The trailer of 'Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh' was released on 11 January. Since then, the Congress had come openly in protest. Effigies of directors Rajkumar Santoshi and Shivam Trivedi were burnt in Bhopal.

Executive District President Gajbhiye said that looking at the trailer of the film, it seems that this film has been made under a well-planned conspiracy.
