Bharat Jodo Yatra: Priyanka Gandhi Tells Why Rahul Gandhi Does Not Feel Cold

New Delhi: As Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed after a break, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday said her brother Rahul Gandhi is a warrior and he is not afraid of the might of the government which spent thousands of crores to tarnish his image.

Before starting the journey in UP, Rahul Gandhi had a darshan of Marghat wale Hanuman ji in Delhi. During this, the priest also gave him a mace (gada).

A photo of Rahul lifting the gada has come to the fore. Bharat Jodo Yatra has started on Tuesday after a break of 9 days. Rahul Gandhi is going to walk about 130 kilometers in UP in 3 days.

Rahul has invited other Opposition leaders

The Congress had invited the other Opposition leaders in BJP-ruled UP — Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav and BSP's Mayawati, most prominently — but both of them are unlikely to join. They have sent their best wishes to Mr Gandhi, though, as has the chief priest of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Big industrialists will never be able to buy my brothe

Welcoming Rahul Gandhi and the Bharat Jodo Yatra at the Loni border as it entered Uttar Pradesh from Delhi, Priyanka said big industrialists like Adani and Ambani will never be able to buy my brother although they may have bought many a politicians, PSUs and the media.

Priyanka said people say Rahul Gandhi does not feel cold even in winter. This is because he is wearing the shield of truth, she explained.

Rahul Gandhi was constantly seen wearing white T-shirts even in Delhi winter during the yatra. Media, netizens and politicians keot wondering why he doesn't feel cold.

Priyanka said she was happy to welcome the yatra, which entered UP covering 3,000 kms from Kanyakumari.

Rahul did not deter from path of truth

She said, "Look at my elder brother, I take the maximum pride in you. Because the authorities put all their power. The government spent thousands of crores to tarnish his image. But, he did not waver from the path of truth. Agencies were deployed but he was not afraid, as he is a warrior," she said to thunderous applause at the Loni border.

"Adani ji, Ambani ji brought big politicians, bought all PSUs, the media, but they could not buy my brother and will never be able to do so. I am proud of him and of everyone else," she also said.

Priyanka said Rahul has opened "the shop" to spread love in the "market of hatred" and was marching to unite the people. "I urge everyone in Uttar Pradesh to open a franchise of this 'mohabbat ki dukaan' (shop to spread love)," she said.
