ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023: We Need To Convert Every Ball Into Run In Semifinal, Says Harmanpreet Kaur

Cape Town: India beat Ireland to reach semi-finals of Women's T20 World Cup, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur expects her batters to convert every ball into runs in the next crucial match against Australia.

India booked a place in the last four with a five-run win over Ireland via DLS in a rain-affected match on Monday. 

Indian girls did not score any runs in 51 balls

Earlier, India had lost only to England and in that match Indian girls did not score any runs in 51 balls in 120 balls which ultimately became the factor of defeat. However, in the last match against Ireland, 

Improved performance against Ireland 

India improved on their previous performance in this direction by conceding 41 balls in which they did not score. Against Ireland, the Indian team scored 155 runs for six wickets, which included Smriti Mandhana's T20 career best score of 87 runs.

India were in trouble at one stage against Ireland when only 63 runs were scored in their ten overs. Ireland were 44 for two in the power play as compared to India's 42/0. However, India managed to post a challenging total later thanks to Mandhana's brilliant innings.
