Liquor Scam: Manish Sisodia At CBI Office, Says He Is Not Afraid Of Going To Jail; Kejriwal Says Prayers Of Children And Their Parents Are With You

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia arrived at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters for questioning in the liquor policy case on Sunday after a touching send-off by AAP supporters.

Manish Sisodia, before appearing before the CBI in the alleged liquor scam, said that he is a follower of Bhagat Singh, so he does not care if he has to stay in jail for a few months.

Sisodia tweeted, “Today again going to CBI, will cooperate fully in the entire investigation. The love of lakhs of children and the blessings of crores of countrymen are with you. I don't care if I have to stay in jail for a few months. I am a follower of Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh went to the gallows for the country. To go to jail because of such false allegations is a small thing."

'Those who give good education to poor children are sent to jail'

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “God is with you Manish. The prayers of lakhs of children and their parents are with you. When you go to jail for the country and society, then going to jail is not a curse, it is a glory. I pray to God that you return from jail soon. Delhi's children, parents and all of us will be waiting for you."

He said, “How can a country progress when those who give good education to poor children and those who make future of those children are sent to jail and those who indulge in scam of billions are close friends of the Prime Minister.”

'Modi ji's police is deployed with promptness to arrest Sisodia'

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai claimed that Aam Aadmi Party workers are being put under house arrest. He said in a tweet that Modi ji's police is deployed with promptness to arrest Sisodia.

The Aam Aadmi Party tweeted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scared of Arvind Kejriwal today, so he is preparing to arrest Manish Sisodia.

Our MLAs and councilors are being detained by the BJP police. We will get arrest for thousands of times, not once, for the sake of the country."

In fact, on February 19, the CBI called Sisodia for questioning, but he sought exemption for a few days, saying that he was busy preparing the budget as the Finance Minister of Delhi. CBI has again issued notice calling him for questioning on Sunday (today).
