Delhi Liquor Policy Case: Manish Sisodia Sent On 7-Day ED Remand

New Delhi: In the Delhi liquor policy case, the court has sent Manish Sisodia on remand for 7 days (till March 17) to the ED. However, the agency had sought a 10-day remand of the former Delhi Deputy CM.
Sisodia was arrested by the ED in Tihar Jail late Thursday evening in connection with the money laundering case. On Friday he was produced in the court. ED had sought 10 days remand of Sisodia. ED reached Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court at 2 pm with Sisodia. After this, Special Judge MK Nagpal first started hearing on ED's remand.
Advocate Joheb Hussain presented the side of ED in the court. He claimed that there was a conspiracy behind the framing of the liquor policy. By changing its rules, some special people were given 12% benefit instead of 6%. Sisodia also destroyed the digital evidence related to it.
The agency said that notices have been sent to 7 more people in the liquor policy case, so that they can be interrogated face to face with Sisodia.

At the same time, the court will now hear Sisodia's bail plea on March 21 at 2 pm.
