Madhya Pradesh: Vikrant Bhuria Released, Court Says Arrest Was Illegal

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress President Vikrant Bhuria has been released by the court on bail. The court termed his arrest as unconstitutional.

Bhopal GRP arrested Vikrant Bhuria from Jhabua on Sunday morning. GRP brought Bhuria from Jhabua to Bhopal and he was produced in the court of Sharad Kumar Latauria, Special Railway Magistrate.

The next hearing in the case will be on April 5. The court has also issued a show cause notice to the police.

'We are fighting the battle of truth'

After coming out of the court, Vikrant Bhuria said that the arrest was illegal. Our aim was very clear. We are fighting the battle of truth, if we have to go to jail then we will also go to jail.

Bhuria said we did not engage any lawyer, nor did we apply for bail. Even after that, the court took cognizance and decided that this arrest was not justified at all, was unconstitutional and released me unconditionally, without bond.

The court said that the action taken by the police was completely wrong. This type of action should not be taken in future.

Bhuria, however, said he does not consider it the fault of the police. He said that CM Shivraj Singh has tried to suppress the voices of youth and tribals by using the police.
