Bhopal: BJP national president JP Nadda reached Bhopal on Sunday during his Madhya Pradesh visit. He was received by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Raja Bhoj Airport.
Nadda’s visit is not just an ordinary one but there is more behind it. As the state is due for assembly elections later this year, Nadda is expected to play a pivotal role in chalking out a strategy to win in the forthcoming polls.
Third time in two months that a top BJP leader is in MP
This is the third time in two months that a top BJP leader is in Madhya Pradesh. On March 25, Home Minister Amit Shah was in Kamal Nath's stronghold Chhindwara. Chhindwara was the only seat Congress managed to retain in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections in MP. Shah visited Satna on February 24.
BJP has won many state elections under Nadda’s leadership
Nadda took charge of the party's reins in January 2020 and since then the BJP has emerged victorious in elections in many states.
Only two months after Nadda took charge as party's national president, BJP toppled the Congress government in MP with the help of Jyotiraditya Scindia in March 2020.
Nadda performed Bhumi Pujan for new state office of BJP
During his Bhopal visit, Nadda performed Bhumi Pujan for the new state office of BJP in Bhopal. After this, while addressing the conference of BJP booth presidents at Motilal Nehru Stadium, he listed the schemes and achievements of the Modi and the Shivraj governments.
BJP's state president VD Sharma and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were also present on the occasion.
Nadda urged the booth presidents to reach to voters
Nadda urged the booth presidents to reach to voters with facts and statistics of Madhya Pradesh's development during BJP tenure. His emphasis on 'facts and stats' basically aims to inform the public-- especially the rural masses, about what all the government has done for them.
Nadda attacks Congress leaders doing Satyagraha
JP Nadda fiercely attacked the Congress leaders doing Satyagraha in support of Rahul Gandhi. He said that today the people of Congress are doing Satyagraha. Satyagraha was done by Mahatma Gandhi, for the honor of India, for the pride of India. What are you doing Satyagraha for? You make caste indicator abuses. Court says apologize. You have arrogance, you don't apologize. They say I am not afraid of anyone. Be afraid of the constitution and the law, but no. The country will never forgive them.
Martyr's family honoured
Chief Minister Chouhan and Nadda honoured Smt. Uma Singh, mother of Shaurya Chakra decorated Group Captain Late Varun Singh and father Shri KP Singh. It is noteworthy that Captain Varun Singh was injured in the helicopter crash and passed away a week later. CDS Shri Vipin Rawat had passed away in the accident.
10-day Booth Vistarak Abhiyan 2.0 concluded recently
Notably, BJP recently concluded its 10-day Booth Vistarak Abhiyan 2.0, which aimed to increase the party's reach at rural and suburban level. The top BJP bosses will expect a report on the areas these booth presidents covered and number of people they were able to reach. So, they can start designing the party's blueprint for the upcoming assembly elections.
Key topics discussed in core committee meeting
Nadda--who is responsible for taking major party decisions across verticals ranging from booth-level to top brass, also head a core-committee meeting in BJP's state office in Bhopal on Sunday evening. CM Chouhan, along with other top BJP ministers were present in the meet. Key topics like ticket allocation, campaigning strategy and manifesto for polls were discussed.
