Manish Sisodia Sent To Judicial Custody Till March 20

New Delhi: Manish Sisodia, arrested in the Delhi liquor policy case, will have to remain in jail till March 20. Sisodia has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by Special CBI Judge MK Nagpal.

The CBI on Monday produced former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia before court in connection with the excise policy case.

However, CBI's counsel said that CBI is not seeking further remand of Sisodia, but may seek custody again in the next 15 days.

Sisodia was produced before special judge M K Nagpal on completion of his seven-day custodial interrogation allowed by the court earlier.

Earlier on March 4, the court had extended Sisodia's CBI remand for two days (March 6), which ended on Monday.

Decision on bail plea on March 10

The court will give its verdict on the bail plea on March 10.

The court will pronounce its verdict on Sisodia's bail plea on March 10 at 2 pm. He was arrested by the CBI on 26 February. He appeared in the court on February 27, from where Sisodia was sent on CBI remand for 5 days.

On March 3, Sisodia filed a bail application in the lower court. In this petition, he wrote that he has cooperated in the CBI inquiry. They have come whenever they have been called. He argued that there is no valid reason to keep him in custody now, as all the recovery has been done by the CBI.
