After garnering praise for her role in web show, 'Aar Ya Paar', Patralekhaa is all set to paint the silver screen with the indomitable spirit of social activist, Savitribai Phule in her next film 'Phule'.
Directed by Anant Mahadevan, the shoot of the film shall begin in early April. The film also marks the fresh pairing of Patralekhaa and Pratik Gandhi.
Patralekhaa shall next be seen portraying India's first female teacher, the pioneer of India's feminist movement, Savitribai Jyotirao Phule.
Recently spotted at the director of the film, Anant Mahadevan's office, Patralekhaa responded to the commencement of the shoot in affirmative.
She added, "Savitribai Phule pioneered female literacy in the country. Her life depicts the culmination of women empowerment. To portray the mother of Indian feminism on screen is an absolute honour."
On the work front, Patralekhaa will also be seen in Amazon Prime’s Gulkand Tales, an untitled dramedy by filmmaker Luv Ranjan and another film on road trip Heer Saara alongside actor Maanvi Gagroo.
