Akhilesh Distancing From Women Wrestlers Protest Brings New Twist In Case

New Delhi: A new twist has come in the case of sexual harassment of women wrestlers who have been protesting for many days. Apart from the Congress, the entry of former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also been made in this. For this reason, instead of resolving, the dispute has become more complicated. Till now the women wrestlers were trying that there is no politics in this matter, but due to the statements of the leaders and the clarification of the President of Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Singh, the matter has become political.

Other opposition parties including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have extended support to the wrestlers and leaders of these parties met the wrestlers at the protest site. However, the Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from the dharna.

Brij Bhushan praises SP leader

WFI President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been continuously saying that the entire controversy is Congress' handiwork. He even said that Congress leader Deepender Hooda is the mastermind behind it. Expressing confidence in the judiciary, he said that justice is not achieved by protesting at Jantar Mantar. For this one has to go to the police and court.

Singh  was told that the Congress came forward openly with the protesting women wrestlers but SP leader and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav did not. On this, Brij Bhushan Singh clearly said that I have known Akhileshji since childhood. 80 percent wrestlers of the state are associated with socialist thought, they all call me Netaji.

On the other hand, BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh praised Akhilesh Yadav and its meaning started being extracted in political circles. It is being said that due to Akhilesh's absence from the protest, the BJP MP feels that he has his indirect support. If something goes wrong with the BJP, then other avenues can open for Singh.

But the big question is whether Akhilesh's distance from the protest and on the other hand agreeing to the opposition unity against the BJP means that somewhere a double game is going on. While the Congress has openly supported women wrestlers. Then the meaning of Akhilesh's staying away is deifficult to understand.

Brij Bhushan targets Railways and SAI

Apart from Congress, MP Brij Bhushan also tried to put government institutions in the dock. Raising questions on the Railway Board and Sai, he said that there are many players who are officers and employees of the Railways. Slogans are being raised against the Central Government and the Prime Minister at the protest site. With whose permission these players have participated in the demonstration. If they have not taken permission then why didn't Sai take any action against the Akharas? Railways has also not given any notice to its employees.
