Commercial Gas Cylinder Prices Slashed By Rs 92

NEW DELHI: 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 92. However, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders. Commercial gas cylinder in Delhi is available for Rs 2028 instead of Rs 2119.50. Whereas in Kolkata it has now come down to Rs.2132. Earlier on March 1, the price of cylinder was increased by Rs 350.50.

Last year at this time, a 19kg commercial gas cylinder was retailing at Rs 2,253 in Delhi. In one year, commercial gas cylinders have seen a price drop of Rs 225 in the national capital.

The price of 19 kg Indane gas cylinder is Rs 2028 in Delhi, Rs 2132 in Kolkata, Rs 1980 in Mumbai and Rs 2192.50 in Chenai.

Petrol and diesel prices in India remained stationary on Saturday. Fuel prices have stayed steady for nearly 10 months since the last revision in May 2022.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
