Keshav Mahindra, Who Made Incomparable Contribution To The Industry, Passes Away


New Delhi: 99-year-old industrialist Keshav Mahindra, who made incomparable contribution to the industry, passed away today on April 12, 2023. His name was included in the list of  billionaires of 2023 released by Forbes. He has been awarded many times for his excellence. There is a wave of mourning in the whole country due to his death.

Started career in 1947 with his father's company

Born in Shimla on 9 October 1923, Keshav Mahindra earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. After this he started his career in 1947. He first started working in his father's company. Seeing his dedication, he was made the chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra in 1963. After retiring in 2012, nephew Anand Mahindra got its responsibility.

Keshav was awarded many awards

There have been many notable contributions of Keshav Mahindra in the industry. Due to his excellence, he was honored by the French government in the year 1987. Whereas in the year 2007, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Ernst & Young.

Handled great responsibilities

Whatever responsibilities were given to Keshav Mahindra, he fulfilled them with full seriousness. He has held important responsibilities in several government committees including the Company Law and Monopolistic and Restrictive Trade Practices and the Central Advisory Council. 

Apart from this, from 2004 to 2010, the former chairman of Mahindra Group has also been a member of the Prime Minister's Council of Trade and Industry.

Industry expresses grief

The industry has expressed grief over Keshav's death. Pavan Goenka, chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center, has expressed grief by tweeting. He has said that a good person has had the fortune of knowing me. There was always a desire to meet him. He was an inspiration to me. Om Shanti
