PM Modi Flags Off Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express; Attacks Dynastic Politics In Hyderabad; See In Pics

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the politics of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (Bharas) and Congress in Telangana, saying these dynastic forces do not want to give up their control over the system as it blocks their politics of corruption.

After flagging off the Vande Bharat Express train to Tirupati at Secunderabad Railway Station, Modi addressed a huge public meeting at the parade ground and laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth Rs 11,300 crore.

Noting the similarities between corruption and nepotism, the Prime Minister reiterated that corruption starts to flourish when there is nepotism. “Control is the main mantra of familyism and dynastic politics”, the Prime Minister said.

The projects inaugurated by PM Modi include six highway projects worth Rs 7865 crore and construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bibinagar.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the ambitious Rs 720 crore Secunderabad Railway Station redevelopment project and launched 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) for the suburban areas of Hyderabad and also inaugurated doubling and electrification of about 85.24 km long line from Secunderabad to Mahbubnagar.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy were also present on the occasion.

Modi in his address said that another Vande Bharat Express train connecting Telangana-Andhra Pradesh has been flagged off. This modern train will now connect the city of Bhagyalakshmi Temple with Lord Sri Venkateswara Dham Tirupati.

He said, "Today I am again privileged to give more impetus to the development of Telangana. The Vande Bharat Express launched here today is going to connect faith, modernity, technology and tourism." PM Modi also interacted with school children in the Vande Bhartat train.

Referring to laying the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar today, the Prime Minister said that the government is also investing in education and health in Telangana. “Today's projects will increase Ease of Travel, Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business in Telangana”, he added.
