Mumbai/Bhopal: In view of the rising temperature in Maharashtra, all schools of the State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education have been closed from Friday. Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department issued a mandate on Thursday night. The government has ordered that if the schools of other boards of the state are running on the scheduled time or such schools where important educational activities are being conducted, then the school administration can take a decision regarding declaring holiday at their level.
Meanwhile, scorching heat was being felt across the state due to erratic weather conditions, causing problems for people in daily activities and day temperature crossed 40 degree Celsius at most places in the state.

Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh light rain may occur in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram-Shahdol division as well as Indore, Khargone, Barwani, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dhar, Sagar, Panna and Satna. There is a possibility of cloud cover, thunder and lightning in other cities as well. According to meteorologists, the current system will remain active till April 25. After this it will be sunny, but on April 29-30 the new system will be active again.
Meteorologist Ashfaq Hussain on Thursday, it rained in many districts including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Mandla, Chhindwara, Sagar, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, while it was cloudy in the districts of Seoni, Balaghat, Ujjain, Indore, Agar, Sehore, Dhar, Rajgarh, Betul, Dewas, Raisen etc. Light rain, thunderstorm will continue on Friday as well. Lightning can also strike along with thunder.
The temperature has dropped significantly in many cities. In Pachmarhi, the temperature has reached 29.8 degrees. On Thursday, a drop of 4.7 degrees was recorded here in a single day. The temperature in Bhopal dropped by 2.3 degrees.
