Vande Bharat Train Is A Symbol Of Enthusiasm Of Transforming India: PM Modi

 

BHOPAL: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Bhopal-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express train here on Saturday.
A group of 300 children were traveling in this train. Modi spoke to the children on a specially equipped platform at Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati station and waved them off as the train started.
Later, describing the enthusiasm of these children in a public meeting held there, he said that the Vande Bharat train is a symbol of enthusiasm and of a changing India. This is the first Vande Bharat Express train to be run on this route.

Union Minister for Railways and Telecom Ashwini Vaishnav, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan, several state government ministers and public representatives were present at the station along with the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister also inspected the train before its departure.
Earlier, Modi attended the Joint Commanders' Conference-2023 at Kushabhau Thackeray Hall in Bhopal at 10 am and reached the railway station at around 3 pm.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw; Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, several of his ministerial colleagues and other public representatives.
The Prime Minister viewed the indigenously-designed and ultramodern train before its departure.


OUR ENDEAVOUR IS TO TRANSFORM RAILWAY SECTOR

Addressing a gathering after the flagging-off ceremony, PM Modi said, "Our endeavour is to transform railway sector and make travel convenient for citizens."
The Ministry of Railways says that Vande Bharat Express has redefined the travel experience of passengers in the country. This Vande Bharat Express train that left Bhopal for New Delhi today is the 11th Vande Bharat Express. It has been indigenously designed, equipped with excellent travel amenities

RAILWAYS IS BECOMING SYNONYMOUS WITH CONVENIENCE

Modi said today Indian Railways is becoming synonymous with convenience for the common families of the country. Today many railway stations are being modernized in the country. Today, Wi-Fi facility is being provided at 6000 stations in the country. 

The installation of CCTVs at more than 900 major railway stations of the country has been completed. Our Vande Bharat Express has become a super hit in the whole country, among our young generation.

This campaign to increase the facilities of railway passengers is going on continuously at a very fast pace. In this year's budget also, a record amount has been given to the Railways. 

PM said in the last 9 years, we have continuously increased the budget of the Railways. For Madhya Pradesh also this time a railway budget of more than Rs. 13 thousand crore has been allocated. While before 2014, the average railway budget for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 600 crore every year.

Today, the work of electrification is an example of how modernization is taking place in the railways. Today, you are hearing every day that 100% electrification of the railway network has been achieved in one or the other part of the country. 

Madhya Pradesh is also included in the 11 states where 100 percent electrification has been achieved. Before 2014, every year on average 600 kilometer railway route was electrified. Now, on an average, 6000 kilometers are being electrified every year. This is the speed of our government's work.

PM EXPRESSES GRIEF AT INDORE TEMPLE MISHAP

Before his address, Prime Minister Modi expressed grief over the incident at Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Indore. He said, I express my grief over the incident that happened on Ram Navami in Indore temple. I pay tribute to those who left us untimely in this accident. I express my condolences to those families. I wish speedy recovery to the injured devotees who are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
