Imran Khan's Arrest: Will Pakistan's Situation Worsen? Is Country Heading Towards Civil War?

Islamabad: After the arrest of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, there is a civil war-like situation in the country. Imran Khan supporters are protesting violently all over Pakistan. Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is targeting the country's powerful Army.

ISLAMABAD: Imran supporters have set army bases on fire in many parts of the country. Not only this, the supporters of Imran Khan entered the headquarters of the Pakistan Army and ransacked it. To crush this protest, the Pakistani army has fired fiercely throughout the night, in which several people are reported to have been killed or injured.

Four PTI workers were killed, claims party

Khan's party has claimed that at least four people were killed and over a dozen injured in different parts of the country in violent clashes between the security forces and PTI supporters.

'At least four PTI workers were killed so far in different parts of the country on the firing of the law enforcement agencies. One each has been killed in Lahore, Faisalabad, Quetta, and Swat," senior PTI leader Shireen Mazari said on Tuesday.

Fear about nuclear bombs

Many people have started questioning what will happen to the nuclear bombs that Pakistan has in these circumstances. The country currently has a total of 165 nuclear weapons. Already the world was afraid of what would happen if these weapons fell into the hands of terrorists. Now that the public is targeting even the army headquarters, then this fear has also doubled.

Islamabad Police has said that it has arrested 43 protesters, but during this five of its soldiers were injured.

PTI workers reached gate number one of the Pakistan Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi and broke it and entered inside.

Vehicles torched near Corps Commander's house

Imran Khan's supporters in Lahore reached near the Corps Commander's house in Cantt and torched several vehicles parked there.

The arrest of Imran Khan in Pakistan has taken place at a time when the country's condition has probably never been so bad before.

Pakistan's economy is on the brink of collapse and society is politically divided like never before.

Last year there was a severe flood in Pakistan which affected lakhs of people. Millions of such people are still trying to recover from that injury.

On the one hand, Pakistan is struggling with economic crisis and on the other hand, the political crisis is getting deeper.

Even after a year of ousting Imran Khan from power, political instability remains.

Imran Khan appeals to his supporters

Meanwhile, Imran Khan has appealed to his supporters to protest peacefully.

Imran Khan has always called the overthrow of his government a conspiracy and never accepted this decision.

Imran Khan is demanding early elections, but the ruling coalition is not ready for early elections under any circumstances.

In such a situation, it is necessary to raise the question that why did the government decide to arrest Imran Khan and after this will the situation in Pakistan get better or worse?
