Madhya Pradesh: Collection Of Bricks, Shilas For Salkanpur’s Devi Lok In Sehore Begins; To Emerge As Center Of Attraction For Devotees After Shri Mahakal Lok


Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that after the development of Shri Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, now "Devi Lok" will be constructed at Salkanpur in Sehore district. Bhoomi pujan and Shila pujan program will be held on 31st May.


Chouhan said that the work of collecting bricks and stones from the villages has begun for the purpose of contributing to the construction of Devi Lok. The bricks will be offered at the feet of the Goddess sitting in the famous temple of Salkanpur. The enthusiasm of the devotees and the atmosphere created for Devi Lok Nirman has been possible only by the grace of the Goddess. Chouhan was addressing the conference of village and city level organizing committees at CM's residence.



Rath Yatra to collect shilas from villages flagged off


CM Shivraj inaugurated a Rath Yatra to collect shilas from villages before the Devi Lok Mahotsav. The collected shilas will be used for the construction of Devi Lok. CM Chouhan handed over Deviji's "Charan Padukas" to Rath Yatra vehicle. Chouhan's wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan also provided charan padukas for the yatra. CM unveiled the DP and poster of Devi Lok Mahotsav. The details of the project of Devi Lok Nirman were given through a short film.


Devi Lok of Salkanpur will be equipped with many facilities


CM Chouhan said that Devi Lok to be built in Salkanpur in Madhya Pradesh will have special importance from the point of view of religious and spiritual tourism. Being close to the capital Bhopal, lakhs of devotees throng this place. Pilgrims from many districts reach Salkanpur, a place full of natural beauty. Many tourist facilities have been developed here. With the construction of Devi Lok, these facilities will get a boost. 


Original temple in Siddha Kshetra Salkanpur will remain intact


Stairways, roadways, ropeways etc. are available for transportation. After the construction of Devi Lok, better food and accommodation facilities will be available for the devotees. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the original temple in Siddha Kshetra Salkanpur will remain intact. Mata's 9 forms will also remain. Not only this, the importance of this area will increase with the construction of 64 Yogini and shops along with other arrangements.



Shila collection, Chunri Yatras, Bhajan contests for men & women


CM Chouhan also informed about the village and city level programs to be held on May 28, 29 and 30 for Devi Lok Mahotsav. Shila and Chunri Yatra will be taken out in all the villages on May 28 before the main program on May 31. Work of 'Mere ghar ki mitti maa ke charanon mein' and collection of bricks/stones from each house in each gram panchayat will be undertaken. 


Rangoli competitions will be held on Monday, May 29. On this day there will also be a competition for Mata ka shringar. Bhajan mandalas of men and women will present bhajans. Bhajan competition for women will be held on May 29 and for men on May 30. The Chief Minister said that along with city-level Shila and Chunri Yatra, different communities and organizations will welcome the yatras on May 30.


Garba dance during main program on May 31


Religious leaders will be honored along with bhoomi-pujan and shila-pujan in the main program on May 31 in Salkanpur. Swasti-gaan and chanting of mantras will be held as per Vedic rituals. Mata ji's Chunri, Shila, Kalash Yatra will be welcomed with fireworks and bhajans. Rehti Municipal Committee will also organize the presentation of Garba dance. CM Shivraj asked the organizing committees to give a wonderful look to the programmes.
