Northeast Likely To Get Its First Vande Bharat Train This Month

 

New Delhi: Northeast is expected to get its first Vande Bharat Express train this month. This train will run from New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal to Guwahati in Assam. 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to flag it off on May 14. This will be the 16th Vande Bharat train of the country and the first train of Northeast. A Vande Bharat train is already running between New Jalpaiguri and Howrah in West Bengal. 

 

Northeast Railway (NFR) has informed that the first train of Northeast will be started on 14th May. So far 15 Vande Bharat trains have been run in the country but many states are still waiting for it. Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Northeast, Punjab and Uttarakhand are yet to get a Vande Bharat Train.


5 Vande Bharat trains are running from Delhi, 4 from Maharashtra 

 
All the southern states have got the gift of this semi high speed train. Right now maximum five Vande Bharat trains are running from Delhi. Four Vande Bharats are running in Maharashtra. 

 

The country's first Vande Bharat Express train ran between New Delhi and Varanasi. The first such train of the second generation was run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Last month five Vande Bharat trains were flagged off. 

 

It is believed that at least three Vande Bharat Express trains can be launched this month, including Howrah-Puri, New Jalpaiguri-Guwahati and Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express.
