Supreme Court Grants Interim Bail To AAP's Satyendar Jain Till July 11 For Treatment, Ban On Talking To Media

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail till July 11 to former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, who has been in judicial custody for nearly a year on charges of money laundering, for his medical treatment.

Justice GK Maheshwari and Justice PS Narasimha granted interim relief of six weeks on medical grounds to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former minister Jain's plea and allowed him to undergo treatment in a private hospital of his choice.

The top court, while accepting the bail application, has also directed Jain to present all the documents of treatment before it during this bail period till July 10.

The Supreme Court has barred Jain from speaking to the media on any issue during his interim bail and from leaving the National Capital Territory of Delhi without a court order.

The top court has asked Jain not to influence any witness during his bail period and not to leave Delhi without its permission.

Former minister Jain has been lodged in Tihar Jail in judicial custody since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in May 2022.
