Madhya Pradesh Elections 2023: This Is How Congress Plans To Counter BJP’s Aggressive Drive To Woo Tribal Voters

Shahdol: In Madhya Pradesh, continuous efforts are being made by both BJP and Congress to woo tribals. Taking lessons from the results of the 2018 assembly elections, the Shivraj government has given maximum focus to the tribal areas. BJP has been campaigning aggressively to woo tribal voters in the state under the leadership of CM Shivraj.

At the same time, Congress is also not far behind, where PCC Chief Kamal Nath himself is contacting all sections, while now Rahul Gandhi in Shahdol and Priyanka's big program is going to be held in Gwalior.

Rahul will also visit Sardarpur in Dhar

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting next month at Beohari in Shahdol district. This place is being chosen because tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are connected from here. Tribal voters in both the states are crucial and the Congress is constantly trying to woo them in favor of the party. After Shahdol, there may be a big program of Rahul Gandhi in Sardarpur of Dhar as well. From here the message will go to the entire Malwa and Nimar region. On the other hand, a program is proposed for Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Gwalior on July 21.
  

Cong didn’t perform well in Vindhya region in last election

 
In the last elections, the Congress party had lagged behind in Vindhya region. Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Umaria, Balaghat and Seoni are connected to Beohari. The performance of the party in the last assembly elections in Vindhya region was not as per the expectations. It is believed that the message Rahul will give from Beohari will affect the political equation of both the states. At the same time, another program is being proposed in Sardarpur of Dhar. 

Programs are being finalized

KK Mishra, president of the media department of Madhya Pradesh Congress, told that the programs of senior leaders of the party are being finalized after discussions with theleaders. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is coming to Gwalior. Party President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders will also come.

 

Rahul had gone to birthplace of Tantya Mama 

 

During Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi had organised a program in Baroda Ahir of Khandwa, the birthplace of tribal hero Tantya Mama. Now a program has been proposed in Beohari of Shahdol, the center of tribal politics in Vindhya region. The tribal areas of Chhattisgarh are also connected from here.
