MP Rains: Strong Weather System May Bring Heavy Rainfall In Madhya Pradesh From Friday


Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, a strong system of rain will be active from Friday. Due to this, there will be a period of heavy rains in the state for three consecutive days. There is an alert of heavy rain on Thursday in 21 districts of Madhya Pradesh including Indore, Jabalpur. More than 4 inches of water can fall in these districts.


Earlier, there was heavy rain in Tikamgarh, Indore district on Wednesday. Whereas, it rained in Bhopal, Dhar, Guna, Ratlam, Ujjain, Khajuraho, Damoh, Satna, Umaria. Even in the late night of Wednesday, rain continued in many districts.


There is forecast of rain in Indore division on Thursday. It may rain in Indore, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua and Dhar. Similarly, there is an alert of heavy rain in Shivpuri, Datia, Bhind, Sheopurkalan, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat and Niwari.

It rained heavily in and around Mhow of Indore. After this Patalpani waterfall in Mhow was in spate. Here, two villages lost contact with the tehsil headquarters due to water coming on the ramp built on the Gambhir river. Electric and electronic equipment installed in the houses got damaged due to lightning.


It may rain in the capital as well on Thursday. Due to moisture, there may be heavy rains for some time in Berasia, Bairagarh, Kolar areas. At the same time, it is expected to rain in the city as well. During this, the situation of thunder and lightning will also be seen. The weather pattern can be seen on July 7, 8 and 9 as well.


Girls got trapped as water fills hostel in Tikamgarh


In Madhya Pradesh's Tikamgarh, there was water-logging in 2 hours of rain. Roads, markets, streets, houses-shops, even government offices were filled with water up to 2 to 3 feet. Here the bungalow of the collector and jailer was also flooded. The district panchayat office was also flooded up to two feet. Due to water filling in the girls hostel, the girls living there got trapped. After this a team of Home Guards was sent for rescue work. It rained more than 13 cm inches of water here in two hours.


Heavy rain in Burhanpur


Heavy rain started in Burhanpur from 10 pm on Wednesday night. Within an hour the streets were flooded. In the Shanwara area too, water was filled up to more than three feet. Meanwhile, the ambulance passing from here got stuck at Shanwara crossing. However, there was no patient in the ambulance. 


Vedprakash Singh, Senior Scientist of IMD Bhopal said that cyclonic circulation is continuing in the upper air at three places near the coast of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha. Because of this, moisture is coming from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Due to which the rainy season continues in the state.
