Madhya Pradesh: Saddened By Sidhi Urination Incident In Election Year, CM Shivraj Apologized To Aggrieved Tribal, Honored Him By Washing His Feet

Sidhi: There is anger in the whole country following the urination incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district. The Shivraj government of the state also took this matter seriously and got the case registered against the accused under the NSA. The encroachment of accused Pravesh Shukla was also bulldozed. 

After this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was distressed by the incident, called the victim Dashmat to the CM House on Thursday to reduce his suffering. CM washed Dashmat’s feet, honored with shawl and shrifal. After this he said that I was deeply saddened by this incident. Today I have tried to ease my pain by apologizing.

CM Shivraj apologized

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote in his tweet, 'My heart is sad. Dashmat ji, this is an attempt to share your pain. I also apologize to you, for me the public is God. CM Chouhan had invited Rawat at his residence in Bhopal to apologize for the ill-treatment and make up for it. He made him sit on the chair, washed his feet and performed the aarti and applied tilak and honored him with a shawl and shrifal. After this, the victims took Dashmat to Smart City where they planted saplings.

 

Respect the deprived: CM

CM Shivraj, on Thursday, also appealed everyone to respect the deprived people. While talking to media, the CM said that he was deeply pained by the incident and wanted to meet Dashmat. He addressed Dashmat as his friend and brother.

“My heart was hurt after I saw Sidhi video. Poor, too, have self-respect. We all are human beings, god's children and therefore must treat each other as one. So, I decided to call Dashmat to Bhopal.

"By washing his feet, I want to give message to all and administration, about my intentions towards poor and suppressed people", the CM said.

Damage control effort

In this whole incident, BJP was seen doing damage control. Since assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh this year. The BJP is continuously engaged in helping the tribals. In such a situation, the video of the urine scandal went viral and the accused turned out to be a BJP leader. From social media to Congress started besieging the government on this issue. On the other hand, the Congress alleged that the police took the victim Dashmat hostage and did not let him go.
