Amrit Bharat Yojana: Bhopal’s Sant Hirdaram Nagar Station Will Have These Unique Facilities After Redevelopment


Bhopal: Bhopal's Sant Hirdaram Nagar station will now be seen in a unique grand style. This station will be redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Yojana. Soon it will be seen in a grand and modern form.

There is a proposal to make a modern waiting hall in place of the existing passenger waiting hall. Divisional officials said that facilities like development of circulating area, beautification of station building, construction of high level platform, renovation of FOB, waiting room and toilet etc. will be expanded.

According to railway officials, the redevelopment of the station will be done at a cost of around 29 crores. Apart from this, the maintenance hub of Vande Bharat will also be built here at a cost of 100 crores.



Daily footfall of 2000 to 2,500


Daily 46 trains halt at Sant Hidram Nagar station. This includes all weekly, special trains. There is also a daily footfall of 2000 to 2,500. According to railway officials, after station development, halts of other trains will also be increased here.



These stations of Bhopal Railway Division will be re-developed


A total of 11 stations of Bhopal division have been selected under “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme”. These include Itarsi Junction, Guna, Ganjbasoda, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Biaora Rajgarh, Shivpuri, Ruthiyai, Banapura, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Harda stations. Upgradation works are to be done at these 11 stations of Bhopal division at a total cost of 235.2 crores.
