Bhopal: In the politics of Madhya Pradesh these days, a religious event in Chhindwara, the stronghold of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, is in headlines.
Baba Bageshwar Dham Dhirendra Shastri remained the main attraction of the three-day Ram Katha recitation, in whose hospitality Kamal Nath and his family gathered.
Kamal Nath's MP son Nakul Nath has tweeted and shared the video in which Baba reached Chhindwara by Kamal Nath's private plane. Nakulnath is also seen taking blessings from him in this video.
Nakulnath wrote, “Welcoming Param Pujya Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri ji (Shri Bageshwar Dham Sarkar) at Chhindwara airstrip. We are fortunate that your feet touched the holy land of Chhindwara, Gurudev.”
The 'Ram Katha', which lasted for three days, was organized in the Hanuman temple of Simaria, where Baba's court of Bageshwar Dham was held in a 'water proof' pandal.
On this occasion, the family members of Kamal Nath also performed Baba's aarti when he reached his house in Shikarpur.
Nothing to do with politics: Baba Bageshwar Dham
In fact, Baba Bageshwar Dham has been associated with the Hindutva of the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he clarified in front of his devotees in Chhindwara that he has nothing to do with politics.
He said, "Don't drag me into politics." He also said that for him 'every person' who comes to the court is equal.
Swami Dhirendra Shastri also called for uniting everyone by removing casteism and also said that all the people living in India are Sanatani. And those who believe in Ram are also Sanatani.
Bageshwar Dham has always been advocating for 'Hindu Rashtra'
Baba Swami Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has always been advocating for 'Hindu Rashtra'.
Debate has once again started in political circles regarding his program in Chhindwara and his statement given there.
Nath is also being targeted both inside and outside party
Kamal Nath is also being targeted both inside and outside the party for organizing Dhirendra Shastri's prpgramme.
Uttar Pradesh Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam tweeted, "Performing aarti of BJP's star campaigner who flouted the 'constitution' by bulldozing Muslims and openly advocating RSS agenda of Hindu nation does not suit the leaders. Today Gandhi's soul would be crying and Pandit Nehru and Bhagat Singh would be sad, but the flag bearers of secularism Jairam Ramesh and Digvijaya Singh ji and Mallikarjun Kharge ji, all are silent."
No statement from senior Congress leaders regarding this event and Kamal Nath's role has come to the fore in public.
Nath is a Hindu of convenince: Narottam
On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has targeted Kamal Nath and said, “Congress and Kamal Nath have understood the power of Hindus. In fact, he is a Hindu of convenience. They work for themselves and not for the society and the country.”
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's chief spokesperson KK Mishra said that 'religion is a matter of faith, not of show off.' According to him, BJP is trying to link a religious program with politics.
KK Mishra said, “Bharatiya Janata Party has done the work of trampling Hindutva under the guise of religion. They have distorted the definition of Hindutva. Everyone knows who till now has done vote bank politics in the name of Sanatan Dharma.
Senior Congress leaders have been trying to evade questions on this issue.
In past Bageshwar Dham had supported bulldozer action
On the one hand, Baba Swami Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has been continuously supporting the point of using bulldozers on Muslims, while Rahul Gandhi has been talking about standing in front of bulldozers.
In such a situation, what kind of signals is being sent by the state Congress President Kamal Nath by organizing Dhirendra Shastri's Path?
In response to this question, party spokesperson KK Mishra said, “It is a question of the faith of Kamal Nath ji and his family, so we are not discussing it. This is his personal matter. Personal organization. Not of the party.”
Challenging the BJP, he said that his party is ready to debate Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma with the BJP at any place and time.
