Bhopal Metro Gears Up For Trial Runs; CM Shivraj To Flag Off Final Trial Run


Bhopal: A team of more than 50 senior engineers, technical experts and supervisors are engaged in connecting and testing the metro coaches on the Inspection Bay Line (IBL) built at Subhash Nagar Depot in Bhopal. This can be completed in the next few days.


Along with connecting the metro coaches, many works are also going on at Subhash Nagar depot. Escalators, stairs and foot over bridge are being built at Subhash Nagar station. At the same time, other works related to the trial are also being done.


Eight stations in Priority Corridor


There are a total of eight stations in the Priority Corridor. These include AIIMS Hospital, Alkapuri, DRM Office, Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, Sargam Talkies, DB Mall, Kendriya School and Subhash Nagar Station. The trial run will be done from Subhash Nagar station to RKMP station in about 4 kilometers.


Final trial run likely after Sep 25


There will be a safety trial run of Metro between Subhash Nagar and Rani Kamalapati station. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will flag off the final trial run.


The metro will pass through the track several times during the safety trial runs. In such a situation, people will be able to see the metro many times. 


The final trial run will be conducted any time after September 25 when the Metro trials are conducted. For this a date is also being taken from the CM. The Chief Minister can also board the metro from Subhash Nagar to RKMP station.


Along with Metro engineers, a team of engineers from coach manufacturing company Alstom is also engaged in this work. Interior work is also being done in full swing in all three coaches.
