Himachal Pradesh: Hustle And Bustle Of Tourists Start Returning To Hill Stations Of Himalayan State


Shimla: After the rains stopped in Himachal Pradesh, tourists from across the country have started returning to hill stations of the Himalayan state. Due to this, hustle and bustle has started returning to tourist places like Shimla, Narkanda, Manali, Rohtang, Dharamshala etc. The good thing is that tourists are getting up to 50 per cent discount in hotels.


Occupancy in hotels likely to be up to 50% by weekend


This discount is available in all private as well as government i.e. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) hotels. Due to this, the occupancy has increased up to 25 percent in many cities. The occupancy is likely to be up to 50 per cent by the end of this week.


50% discount in HPTDC hotels till 15 Sept


HPTDC Managing Director Amit Kashyap said that Himachal is completely safe now. Tourists can now visit the tourist places of Himachal fearlessly. He told that 50 percent discount has been given in HPTDC hotels till 15 September. Tourists can take advantage of this.


Kashyap said the Himachal government is fully prepared to welcome the tourists. The road is also open for sightseeing of Shimla, Kangra Valley, Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj, Palampur, Dalhousie, Khajjiar and Chamba. Amit Kashyap told that tourists can visit charming places like Kasauli, Shimla, Chail, Narkanda and Kinnaur.


Tourists have started reaching Manali, nearby tourist places


Manali Hotel Association President Anup Thakur said that up to 50 percent discount is being given to the tourists. After the restoration of roads, now tourists have started reaching Manali and nearby tourist places.


Thakur said that there is no problem in Himachal now. A large number of tourists are coming from Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana. The number of tourists is expected to double on the weekend.


Air connectivity 


After a long time, air connectivity from Shimla to Dharamshala was also started in the state. Apart from this, flights are also leaving everyday from Delhi to Shimla and from Shimla to Dharamshala. The government is also giving subsidy on the fare of all the seats on Shimla-Dharamshala-Shimla route. Air travel can be undertaken on this route by paying a fare of Rs 3,000.
