Electronics repairing can become the largest and fastest growing sector in India during the coming years.


According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, this sector can generate 50 lakh jobs.


If we repair and use our electronics gadgets, then we add 30 percent value to the economy. That is to say, if we run a mobile, that has been used for three years for one more year after repairing it, then we can save about 30 percent foreign exchange. Because most of the mobiles and their parts are imported in India. This will also generate 33 percent less e-waste.


India can become world's Electronics Repairing Destination


There is no dearth of electronics and IT engineers and technicians in India, so the country can also become the 'Electronics Repairing Destination' of the world.


The cost of repairing in India is also less as compared to developed countries, so it can become the world's favorite electronics repairing market. This sector has the potential to create 50 lakh jobs.


Repairing, recycling and re-use is very important for India's economy


Akhilesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has said that repairing, recycling and re-use is very important for India's economy because the consumption of electronics in India is continuously increasing.


Ajay Chaudhary, one of the founders of HCL, says, "It can also open a huge export market for India. Electronics gadgets from all over the world can come to India for repairing. India has the expertise for this work. This foreign exchange It can be a very good source of earning.


A large number of people in India have more than one mobile phone. Many also have a laptop or any other electronic gadget. They probably use only one of these and the rest just lie around.


It is possible that some of these may be in good condition and some may be lying in bad condition.


2.6 crore devices are lying idle in Indian homes


The latest report by the Indian Cellular and Electronic Association (ICEA) and IT company Accenture states that there are 20 crore 60 lakh devices, including mobiles and laptops, lying idle in Indian homes.


In fact, this ‘e-waste’ is the foundation of the circular electronics business model, whose scope can increase to 20 billion dollars by 2035.


This report says, "A total of six circular business models in the country, including 'circular design, repair and re-sale', can generate earnings of seven billion dollars by 2035. Through public and private partnership models, this market can be worth $20 billion.''


India can become a big market for re-manufacturing business of devices


Experts say that India can become a big market for the re-use, repair, recovery and re-manufacturing business of laptops, mobiles and other electronic goods.
