Madhya Pradesh: Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar Creates World Record In Asian Games-2023


Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy of Excellence's star shooter Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar has won the gold medal while representing India in the on going 19th Asian Games-2023 in Hangzhou, China. Aishwary hails from Khargone, Madhya Pradesh.


Team India's trio of Divyansh Pawar, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Rudrash Patil have created a world record by scoring 1893.7 points. Earlier this record was held by China.


Academy's Aishwary contributed 631.6 points in the 10 metre air rifle team event and won the gold medal for the Indian team. In the Asian Games, Aishwary Pratap Singh bagged bronze medal by securing third place in 10 metre rifle singles event with 228.8 points.


Sports Minister congratulates


Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, while greeting Aishwary on this wonderful achievement, said that Aishwary Pratap Singh of our academy ensured the gold medal for the Indian team and played a significant role in achieving the world record. 


The Indian team has defeated Republic of Korea and China by scoring 1893.7 points. Smt. Scindia said that I am proud that we have provided international level facilities to our players and its results are visible to the whole world. Aishwary Pratap Singh has emerged as an ideal player for the new talented shooters.


'It is very special'


Aishwary said it is not a gold medal in a team event but also our world record so it is very special. We are very happy that we won gold in the team event and created a new world record in the Asian Games, said Aishwary.
