Madhya Pradesh: Varun Waderia Unfurls Tricolor On Europe's Highest Peak Mount Elbrus; Is Joint Director Of MP Tourism Board

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board's Joint Director (Finance) Varun Waderia has hoisted the tricolor on Europe's highest peak 'Mount Elbrus'. Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Sheo Shekhar Shukla greeted Waderia on this achievement. 

Mount Elbrus is the highest and most prominent peak in Russia and Europe. It is situated in the western part of the Caucasus and is the highest peak of the Caucasus Mountains. 

Temp is less than -10 degrees & wind current very strong

Waderia has done a mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of Uttarkashi, an organization recognized by the International Federation for Climbing and Mountaineering. Waderia said that climbing Mount Elbrus, which is 5642 meters above sea level, was very challenging. The temperature at the height remains less than minus 10 degree Celsius and the wind current is very strong. The wind and cold test you hard on the steep climb to the top. That's why it is not only the highest peak of Europe but also challenging.

Benefitted from yoga and pranayama

Waderia had made preparations at several levels before the mountain climbing. He had been running and doing yoga for the last two months. He told that the oxygen and air pressure on the Elbrus peak reduces considerably. Due to their effect, there is shortness of breath. 

Waderia said that due to Yoga, Pranayama, he got a lot of benefit and completed the climb before the average time. Waderia is a trained mountaineer. He said his aim is to hoist the tricolor on the Seven Summits (Sapta Choti). The Seven Summits are the highest mountains on each of the seven traditional continents.
