Country's first 'Namo Bharat' train will run from today, PM Modi will flag off; know more about this train

 


New Delhi: Today i.e. on Friday, October 20, the country's first Rapid Metro i.e. Namo Bharat Train is going to run on the tracks. Now the general public can start traveling in this rapid metro from Saturday. Namo Bharat Rapid X Metro will run between Delhi and Meerut. PM Modi will flag off the train.


However, its first service will currently be from Sahibabad to Duhai only for 17 km. According to the information received, this train will run at same speed as Vande Bharat, but the fare is quite low.

Rs 50 fare for Sahibabad to Duhai


The general public will have to pay a fare of Rs 50 from Sahibabad to Duhai. Whereas for premium coach they will have to pay double the fare i.e. Rs 100. Whereas for traveling from Sahibabad and Ghaziabad, the fare in standard coach is Rs 30 and in premium category coach the fare is Rs 60. Whereas traveling from Sahibabad to Guldhar will cost Rs 30.


If seen, the lowest fare for going from one station to another has been fixed at Rs 20. Similarly, to travel in premium class, the lowest fare from one station to another is fixed at Rs 40.


Competition with Vande Bharat in speed


The most special thing about Namo Bharat Rapid X is that the speed of this train will be up to 160 km/hour. This means that this train will also give a huge competition in speed to the country's semi-high speed train Vande Bharat. The responsibility of safety in RapidX will be under AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence. These trains also have overhead luggage rack, Wi-Fi, mobile charging facility in every seat.


People will get tickets sitting at home


Now digital QR code based ticket mode will be started for tickets. Now passengers will be able to book their ticket sitting at home through the RapidX Connect app. Apart from this, passengers will also be able to travel comfortably through National Common Mobility Card. But Delhi Metro card will not work in this train. In such a situation, passengers will have to recharge theirr NCMC card with a minimum value of at least Rs 100.


Rapid Rail Project from Delhi to Meerut


Rapid rail project is being built from Delhi to Meerut. Its total length is 82 kilometers. In the first phase of which 17 kilometers will start between Duhai and Sahibabad. It includes total five stations Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot. It is reported that the fare from Meerut to Sahibabad can be between Rs 170 to Rs 200. However, this is yet to be finalized.
