Iran's Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian is meeting the leaders of the Middle East in connection with the Israel-Palestine Conflict. After visiting Iraq and Syria, the Iranian Foreign Minister reached Lebanon and Qatar on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Saturday,
the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Hezbollah has assessed all the
situations of the conflict and Israel should immediately stop attacks on
Gaza. He said, “If this happens, Israel will have to face a major earthquake.”
He called on Israel to stop attacks in Gaza and warned that if Lebanon's Hezbollah gets involved, the conflict could spread to other areas of the Middle East.
Media reports, quoting diplomatic sources, said that Iran has given a message to Israel through the United Nations that if Israel's campaign in Gaza continues, then Iran will have to intervene, especially if Israel launches a ground attack on Gaza.
This message from Iran has come at a time when America is trying to stop Iran and Hezbollah from getting involved in the Gaza conflict.
Two American warships have reached the Middle East to support Israel.
Experts are of the opinion that if Iran gets involved in any way in the Hamas-Israel conflict, it will create a danger of the conflict spreading to other areas of the Middle East.
Meanwhile, there are reports of missiles being fired by Hezbollah on the Lebanon-Israel border and retaliatory bombing by Israel. According to Israeli media reports, one civilian has died and several have been injured in a missile attack by Hezbollah on a village.
After attacks from Lebanon, Israel has declared a four kilometer area adjacent to the Lebanon border as a buffer zone and has evacuated the population from here.
“Stop the crimes against the citizens of Gaza, because in a few hours it will be too late,” Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian said after meeting with Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on Saturday.
He said, “I know about the preparations Hezbollah has made. The steps taken by Hezbollah now will cause a major earthquake for Israel.”
Saudi Arabia calls a meeting of OIC
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has called a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the situation in Gaza in view of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
OIC issued a statement saying that at the request of Saudi Arabia, a ministerial meeting is being called on Wednesday to discuss the Gaza issue.
In this emergency meeting to be held in Jeddah, the 'threat to unarmed people' of Gaza and Israel's military action will be discussed.
Thousands of Israeli troops ordered to capture Gaza
It reported that the main aim of the Israeli military is to eliminate the top political and military hierarchy of the Hamas militant group.
More than three lakh soldiers of the Israeli army are deployed on the Gaza border. Apart from tanks and artillery, Israel has deployed heavy weapons.
