Rajasthan Election 2023: Why Congress First List Not Declared For Rajasthan Along With Other States? This Survey Has Increased Party's Worries

Rajasthan Election 2023: Congress has announced the first list of candidates in 3 states for upcoming elections in five states, but the issue is still stuck in Rajasthan. On the first day of Navratri, the party had announced the list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

In fact Sunil Kanugolu's survey has created dilemma for Congress. Kanugolu was also poll strategist for Congress in Karnataka where Congress registered a thumping victory.

High command wants ticket distribution on basis of Kanugolu's survey

According to reports, the party was conducting a survey of all its MLAs in the state. Based on that, the party was going to prepare the list of candidates, but CM Gehlot has a different opinion regarding ticket distribution.

In fact, the survey of Congress's strategist Sunil Kanugolu survey has increased the trouble for Congress. It is being told that the party high command wants ticket distribution on the basis of survey. 

But CM Gehlot believes that those MLAs who had saved the government in Rajasthan should get a chance to contest elections again. That's why the Congress list is not being prepared.

CM Gehlot is not in favour of cutting tickets on the basis of survey

Sunil Kanugolu's survey has recommended cutting 50 percent of tickets in Rajasthan. The screening committee agrees with this, but CM Gehlot is not ready for it. 

According to Gehlot, those MLAs who had saved the government should get another chance, their tickets should not be cut. If tickets have to be canceled then the tickets of rebel MLAs should be canceled.

What is the opinion of Sachin Pilot's camp 

On the other hand, Sachin Pilot's camp believes that if tickets are being cut then they should be cut on the basis of survey only.

According to the information, the party has not been able to hold a meeting regarding Rajasthan yet, so the list is getting delayed. In such a situation, the Congress high command has asked to call the meeting of the screening committee again. Now this meeting will be held on 17th October. The next day on October 18, the party has also called a meeting of the Central Election Committee.
