New Delhi: Strong earthquake tremors have been felt in the capital Delhi and UP.
According to USGS (United States Geological Survey), the epicenter of the earthquake was in Dipayal, Nepal.
It is reported that earthquake struck Nepal twice. The first one struck at 2.25 pm, whose intensity was 4.6. The second shock came at 2.53, whose intensity was 6.2. Tremors have also been felt in Uttar Pradesh. Its intensity has been measured at 5.5.
Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday afternoon at 2.53 pm. Its intensity on the Richter scale was 4.6.
Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and parts of north India around 2:50 pm on Tuesday.
Earthquake struck Haryana twice in a day
Earthquake struck Haryana for the second time in a day on Tuesday. Tremors were felt in Panipat, Rohtak, Jind, Rewari and Chandigarh etc. at 2:50 pm. This created chaos. People came out of their homes. Earlier this morning an earthquake of 2.7 magnitude was recorded in Sonipat.
People come out of homes, offices in Jaipur
Earthquake tremors were felt in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur at 2:51 pm on Tuesday. Although the epicenter of this earthquake was said to be Nepal, its tremors were felt till Jaipur. People came out of their homes and offices.
In many areas of the city, people were seen coming out of buildings and standing on the streets. On the other hand, earthquake tremors spread panic among the people in the entire NCR area including Alwar. According to information received from Bhiwadi, strong earthquake tremors were felt there. In Bhiwadi, people came out of their homes and there was panic in the market also due to the earthquake.
Earth kept shaking for 10-12 seconds in UP
Strong earthquake tremors have been felt in Uttar Pradesh. The intensity of the earthquake is said to be 5.6 on the Richter scale. Due to the epicenter of the earthquake being on the Nepal border, there were strong earthquake tremors in Uttar Pradesh. The earth kept shaking for about 10 to 12 seconds. During this time, an atmosphere of fear was created among the employees working in the offices.
A large number of people came out of the offices. Strong earthquake tremors were felt from Bareilly to Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh. Earthquake tremors have been felt till Delhi-NCR. People living in high-rise buildings came out of their flats. An atmosphere of chaos was created.
Strong earthquake tremors were felt in many districts of UP including Kanpur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad.
The strong earthquake tremors in Lucknow filled people with panic. People started coming out of the offices. There was gathering of people on the roads.
Earth shook in Uttarakhand also
Apart from UP, the earth shook in Uttarakhand also. Here too, people came out of their homes after the earthquake.
Due to the epicenter of the earthquake in Nepal, the impact of the earthquake was seen in Uttarakhand. Earthquake tremors were felt in cities like Dehradun, Kashipur, Chamoli, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rishikesh, Srinagar, Haridwar etc. The earthquake was felt at 2.53 pm. The earth was seen shaking several times for about 10 seconds. The intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 6.2 on the Richter scale. Earthquake tremors have filled people with panic.
