Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Said This In Response To Rahul Gandhi's Call Of 'jitni Aabadi, Utna Haq'

New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's stance of 'jitni aabadi, utna haq' (rights proportional to population) and said that in this way North-East India will be deprived of everything due to low population. .

Rijiju said in a post on Twitter: "Rahul Gandhi is playing with fire. His call for 'Jitni Abadi-Utna Haq' will destroy India. Arunachal Pradesh, North-Eastern states, Ladakh and thousands of small- communities whose numbers are less will be deprived of everything. Funds for development will never be available in remote and far-flung  areas because only a few people live there... Minority communities of the country will never have an opportunity to contribute in nation building. How hungry can one be for power."

Rahul Gandhi has been pushing for a nationwide caste census and greater representation of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) based on their population. He endorsed the slogan of 'Jitni abadi utna Haq' saying it was a pledge of the Congress party.

"The caste census of Bihar has revealed that OBC SC ST are 84% there. Out of 90 secretaries of the Central Government, only 3 are OBC, who handle only 5% of India's budget! Therefore, it is important to know the caste statistics of India. 'Jitni Abadi Utna Haq' – this is our pledge," Rahul posted on 'X' on Monday.
