Big-B gifts Juhu bungalow Prateeksha to daughter Shweta Nanda

Amitabh Bachchan has officially transferred ownership of his suburban Juhu bungalow, 'Prateeksha,' to his daughter Shweta Nanda, as per official records. This property, valued at over Rs 50.63 crore, is considered the megastar's initial acquisition in the city and is one of three bungalows owned by the Bachchan family in the area.

The transfer, documented by property registration data aggregator Zapkey.com, was executed by Big-B on November 9, marked as a generous gift to his daughter. Stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh accompanied this transfer.

Situated in the Vitthalnagar Cooperative Housing Society, the bungalow spans two plots, measuring 674 square meters and 890.47 square meters, with a combined valuation exceeding Rs 50.63 crore. The larger plot is jointly owned by Big-B and his wife Jaya Bachchan, while the smaller plot is solely owned by Big-B. Responses from Bachchan's office are currently awaited.

Prateeksha hosted Abhishek's wedding ceremony

Notably, the larger bungalow, 'Prateeksha,' holds sentimental value as it hosted the wedding ceremony of Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek Bachchan, to actor Aishwarya Rai in 2007. Another family bungalow in the vicinity, 'Jalsa,' also served as a venue for the celebrations, while the third, 'Janak,' primarily functions as an office for the 81-year-old Bollywood icon.

Reports suggest that the name 'Prateeksha' was given by the actor's poet father, Harivanshrai Bachchan, and the property is featured in one of his poems.
