Celebrity couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcomed their first child, a daughter named Raha, in November last year. They have been quite careful not to reveal Raha's face, even going to the extent of requesting paparazzi to refrain from taking her pictures during an encounter with the media in January. This has left their fans wondering when, or if, they will eventually introduce their daughter to the public.
During her appearance at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Alia Bhatt openly discussed the reasons behind their decision not to unveil their daughter's face and whether they have any plans to do so in the future.
In a recent conversation, when Alia Bhatt was asked if fans might finally catch a glimpse of her daughter Raha's face as she approaches her first birthday, she responded, "I don't want to be seen as hiding my daughter's face. We are proud of her. In fact, if the cameras weren't rolling here, I would have shown her face on the big screen. We are proud of our baby."
The Dear Zindagi actress further explained that their initial decision was driven by the fact that they were new parents and were uncertain about having Raha's face exposed all over social media. Given that she's barely a year old, they didn't see the need for her to be in the paparazzi spotlight.
"It's not that we will never let anyone see her face. I believe we need to become more comfortable with this aspect of parenting and make a decision when we are ready. Whenever that moment arrives, it could be now, in the near future, or whenever. When we are ready, it will happen without undue pressure," Alia added.
