Madhya Pradesh: PM Modi to virtually address Hukumchand Mill workers on Dec 25


Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the workers of Hukumchand Mill, Indore will get their rights on 25 December 2023. On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the workers virtually. 


This programme is being organised on Good Governance Day, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. About 5 thousand workers of Hukumchand Mill will get an amount of Rs 224 crore which has been pending for more than 30 years.


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav today took a review meeting of officials in Mantralaya regarding the preparations for the programmes of Hukumchand Mill to be held on 25 December 2023 in Indore. During the meeting, he directed that similar efforts should be made for other mills by adopting the same process followed in Hukumchand Mill. 


The programme will start from 11:00 am on 25th December at Kanakeshwari Dham located in Nanda Nagar area of ​​Indore. 



Workers need not to worry about benefit amount: Instructions given to Collector


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed the Indore district administration to ensure that the workers do not have to worry about the amount to be given to them, the Collector should ensure that the amount is given directly to the workers, for which if necessary, discuss with the labour unions as well.


The entire amount of benefits should reach the workers directly, ensure smooth distribution of funds and regular monitoring. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that the cases of other mills which have outstanding liabilities should also be resolved on the basis of the model of Hukumchand Mill and relief should be given to the workers. The Chief Minister directed that better arrangements should be made for the programme and traffic runs smoothly.
