Madhya Pradesh Ratlam News: Woman lodges gang rape report but everyone was shocked when CCTV cameras were checked


Ratlam News Update: The alleged gang rape case reported by a woman in the Tal police station area of Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh, has been found to be false after a thorough police investigation. The checking of CCTV cameras played a crucial role in unraveling the truth and everyone was shocked when the real facts came to light, leading the police to take legal action against the complainant for filing a misleading report.


According to the police, on October 26, the complainant woman said, 'She was going on a bike with her nephew around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. At that time, her nephew went away to get the bike's puncture repaired. During this time, a car stopped near the complainant, in which three persons Jujhar Singh, Rajesh Singh Dodiya and Kuldeep Singh were sitting. They told the complainant that they would drop her home and made her sit in the car. But they took her to an unknown place and all three of them raped and beat her and threatened to kill her. The complainant became unconscious due to the assault."


On the complaint of the woman, FIR was registered at Tal police station under section 323,342,366, 376(D), 506,34. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha directed SDOP Alot and police station in-charge Tal to conduct an impartial, factual investigation of the matter and take appropriate action.


CCTV cameras around the incident site were checked


To obtain information about the incident, CCTV cameras around the incident site were checked, in which no facts were found regarding the incident narrated by the complainant. When the CCTV cameras of Jaora city were checked to get information regarding the car mentioned by the complainant, it was found that this car was 50 km away from the spot at the time of the incident. The presence of the three accused at the time of the incident was also investigated.


SP Ratlam Rahul Kumar Lodha said that during the investigation in this case, after analyzing the facts obtained on the basis of mobile location of the accused, footage obtained from CCTV cameras, statements of witnesses etc., the report lodged by the complainant was found to be false. The court dismissed the case on the basis of the facts presented by the police in the said case. Action is also being taken against the complainant woman under 182/211 CrPC for filing a false report.
