The stock market Sensex witnessed a substantial upswing on Monday following the triumph of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
Marking a gain of over one percent, the stock market set new records, leading to a collective increase of Rs 4.97 lakh crore in market value.
The BSE Sensex soared by 877.43 points, reaching 68,358.62. The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies rose from Rs 337.67 lakh crore to Rs 342.64 lakh crore on Monday morning.
Notably, Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports experienced significant surges, rising by 6.79 and 4.52 percent, respectively.
Other major companies such as SBI, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, and NTPC also witnessed notable increases in their share values.
Performance of Adani Shares
Adani Enterprises: Rs 2535, a gain of 7.29 percent.
Adani Ports: Rs 878, a gain of 6.15 percent.
Adani Energy Solution: Rs 907, a gain of 6.17 percent.
Adani Wilmar: Rs 348, a gain of 2.28 percent.
Adani Green: Rs 1115, a gain of 8.71 percent.
Adani Power: Rs 462, a gain of 4.90 percent.
Adani Total: Rs 730, a gain of 4.12 percent.
