Madhya Pradesh: Country's first Geological Park will be built in Jabalpur; a giant replica of a dinosaur will be installed; know more about this park


A unique Geological Park will be built at Lamhetaghat-Bhendaghat, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh held a meeting regarding the establishment of the park. 


Minister Rakesh Singh said that the country's first Geo Park to be built in Jabalpur will prove to be a milestone in the study of geological structures and the development of human civilization, development of tourism and culture. He said that Bhedaghat-Lamhetaghat are known all over the world for geological activities.


Tourists will feel connected with nature


Minister Singh said that whatever construction is done here, it should be done in complete harmony with nature. Special attention should be paid to ensure that the tourists coming here feel connected with nature. 


In the meeting, the entire project of the Geo Park was presented through a presentation by the agency selected for the work. It was told in the presentation that whatever construction will be done in the Geo Park will be in complete harmony with nature and the construction will be quite attractive. Here structures will be built among thousands of trees which will give people a joyous experience.


Nature walk through 5D films


The museum to be established in the Geo Park will be of world-class and state-of-the-art technology like 3D modeling, thematic design, interactive touch table etc. will also be used here. The museum will be divided into many parts in which there will be many special sections for adults, children and scholars doing geological study. There will be nature walk through 5D films which will be very exciting.


A giant replica of a dinosaur will be built


A huge replica of dinosaur will also be built in the Geopark. An attractive nature walk will also be built here where tourists will be able to feel connected with nature. Along with this, there will be state-of-the-art food courts, shopping complexes etc. in the Geopark where special attention will be paid to the participation of the local community. 


Geo Park will be built on approximately 12 hectares of land. The work of establishing the Geological Park is being done through the Tourism Department. A meeting regarding Geopark will be held soon at the place selected for the park in Jabalpur.
