Collector Kishore Kanyal of Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh has been removed from the post by CM Mohan Yadav for asking a truck driver Tumhari Aukat Kya Hai.
Ms Riju Bafna, currently posted as Collector Narsinghpur, has been made Collector, Shajapur. Kishore Kumar Kanyal has been transferred and made Deputy Secretary, MP Government in Bhopal.
A video of a part of Kishore Kanyal's conversation with truck drivers had gone viral. In this video, Kishore Kanyal is seen saying to the truck driver – What will you do, what is your aukat (status)?
To this a person standing there replies – This is our fight that we have no status. We are requesting you with folded hands.
This video became quite viral on social media.
Now Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has also reacted on this.
Mohan Yadav said, "It is not appropriate for an officer to speak such language." Especially this government is the government of the poor. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the government is working for the welfare of the poor. No matter how big an officer is, he should respect the work and feelings of the people. As a human being, this language is not acceptable in our government.
He said, “I myself am a son from a laborer family. I understand that from now on if an officer speaks such language then he has no right to be in the field. The officer who comes to this post again will take care of his language and behavior. Such languages pained my heart. I will never forgive this.
Earlier, Collector Kishore Kanyal had also given his clarification.
Kishore Kanyal said, "Our aim was to make it clear that no person will disturb law and order. You have to protest peacefully. If a trucker is bringing goods, no one will stop him."
Kanyal says, "Regarding the same, one person started saying again and again that if our issue is not resolved after three days, then we can go to any level and spoil the law and order. I was angry about that thing. I want to clarify again that it is our responsibility to maintain law and order."
Had invited poor people in daughter's wedding
At present Shajpur Collector is in the headlines because of his controversial statement. But he is also known for his generosity. Kishore Kanyal's daughter's wedding was in February 2023. At that time Kishore Kanyal was the commissioner of Gwalior Municipal Corporation. The wedding was organized in a hotel, in which Kanyal had invited destitute people and offered them meal himself. Kishore Kanyal's daughter was also seen serving food. These simple videos of his became very viral on social media.
